What materials do you use?
All our products are made from genuine BioThane®. Our hardware is sourced both domestically and overseas and consists of stainless steel, solid brass, or scratch-resistant matte black hardware. We also offer lighter-weight nickel-plated and brass-plated hardware for smaller dogs.
Will my gear smell if it gets wet?
Nope! I completely seal every cut end so that no water can get into the nylon core. It doesn’t absorb water so it can’t get that musty wet smell.
How long until my order ships?
Current production times are listed at the top of the home page. Our order volume fluctuates through the year, but we always work on getting your order out as soon as possible.
What is Biothane?
BioThane® is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It’s a polyester webbing with a PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, and easy to clean. Not all coated webbing is the same, and we only use USA-made BioThane®.
Do you offer a warranty on your gear?
All of our gear is guaranteed for life! It is not chew-proof and we do not offer replacements for gear that has been chewed on, so please protect it from mouthy puppies! Read about our full guarantee here.
What shipping services are available?
We ship all orders with USPS - either by Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. Both include $100 of insurance if you package is lost during transit. During peak shipping times (usually mid-November through mid-January) our shipping rates may increase as USPS increases their rates during this time of year.
What type of BioThane® do you use?
BioThane® comes in different coatings, and we use Beta Standard (Beta also comes in Heavy Duty). Beta BioThane® has a nice feel in the hand, soft like worn-in leather, and a bit of grip.
How do I clean my gear?
Because BioThane® is waterproof, the easiest way to clean it is with warm soapy water. Don’t be afraid to get it a scrub! It’s also okay to let it soak. My favorite product for tough stains is a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. If you need to disinfect your gear, BioThane® recommends Envirocide used per the products directions.
